Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) are a convenient and secure way to invest in gold without the need to physically own it. They are backed by the Government of India and have a fixed tenure of 8 years with an annual interest rate of 2.5%.

- SGB Series II 2023-24 will be available for subscription from September 11 to September 15, 2023.
- The bond’s face value will be ₹5,923 per gram of gold, but investors who opt for online applications and complete their payments through digital channels can avail a discount of ₹50 per gram.
- The minimum investment is 1 gram and the maximum investment is 4 kg per fiscal year for individuals and HUFs.
