MF houses are continuously buying HDFC Bank

Mutual funds continued to increase their holdings in HDFC Bank Ltd in February, acquiring an additional Rs 8,400 crore worth of shares. This followed a significant purchase of Rs 13,500 crore in January.In February, mutual funds purchased approximately 6.01 crore shares, compared to 8.83 crore shares bought in January. As of February 2024, mutual funds collectively held around 142.27 crore shares of the bank, up from 136.26 crore shares in January. However, the value of these shares decreased from Rs 2.15 lakh crore to Rs 2.02 lakh crore during this period, according to data from ACE Equities.
