Hi Everyone,
Effective from July 19th 2023, these new regulations will define how the funds obtained from the sale of stocks are credited to your account.
So far, whenever you sold a stock, you would receive 80% of sell amount in your Angel One trading account for trading on the same day and the remaining 20% the next trading day for all equity shares irrespective of their settlement or pledged status.
However, July 19th 2023 onwards, the payout will be received sometimes via a single payment, sometimes in two stages, depending on the settlement and the pledge status.
Let us see what are the different cases under which you will be paid the amount at the end of the day.
Latest Payment Regulations
The following are the payment procedures that will be followed for equity delivery sell orders:
In case of selling stocks in your Demat account:
- 80% of the amount received from the sale will be available to trade/invest immediately that can be used for trading.
- 20% remaining balance will be available in the next date
- You can withdraw 100% of your sale amount only on the next day
In case of selling BTST/T1 stocks (Buy Today Sell Tomorrow stocks i.e. stocks bought on the previous trading day):
- 100% of the amount received from the sale will be available to trade/invest the next day
In case of selling CUSPA stocks (Stocks in your unpaid security account):
- 100% of the amount received from the sale will be available to trade/invest the next day
In case of selling MTF and margin pledged stocks:
- 80% of the amount received from the sale will be available to trade/invest immediately that can be used for trading.
- 20% remaining balance will be available in the next date
- You can withdraw 100% of your sale amount only on the next day
The funds payout process for your Angel One account is simple and transparent. All relevant charges for each transaction are recorded and shown on the app in DASH under accounts section.
