I’m reaching out here because I’m stuck in a frustrating situation with the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) www.shareconnection.in/how-to-get-shares-and-dividends-from-iepf/ and could really use some guidance or shared experiences.
A few years ago, some shares under my father’s name were transferred to IEPF due to inactivity. We weren’t even aware until we tried to update KYC and found out they’d been moved! Now we’re trying to reclaim the shares and unclaimed dividends, but the whole process seems incredibly complex between filing IEPF-5, gathering documents, notarization, company follow-ups, etc., it’s honestly overwhelming.
Has anyone here successfully recovered shares or dividends from IEPF?
Would love to hear:

- Time it took for the process
- Any red flags or things to avoid
