Bharti Airtel’s ‘Xstream Play’ achieves 5‐million‐paid‐subscriber milestone

Bharti Airtel achieves 5 million paid subscribers for Airtel Xstream Play and extends 5G coverage to all 22 districts of Jammu & Kashmir.

Bharti Airtel today announced that its video streaming service, Airtel Xstream Play, has crossed the five million paid subscriber mark in October 2023, making it the fastest-growing OTT aggregator in India.

Airtel Xstream Play offers India’s largest bouquet of OTT content aggregated on a single app, with access to premium content from over 20 partners, including Sony LIV, Lionsgate Play, Chaupal, Hoichoi, FanCode, ManoramaMax, ShemarooMe, Alt Balaji, Ultra, ErosNow, EPICon, Docubay, and Playflix. Customers can watch over 40,000 movie titles and shows on the Airtel Xstream app with a minimum recharge of Rs 148.

Airtel also announced that it has extended its 5G coverage to all 22 districts of Jammu & Kashmir, serving over 0.9 million customers. Airtel 5G Plus service is now available across all districts in the state within just 12 months of launch.

With this expansion, Airtel’s 5G service is now available across all districts and union territories in the country. Airtel has extensively rolled out its network in Jammu & Kashmir, making its services available in remote villages like Nubra Valley and along the national borders.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value of Rs 5 has touched a 52-week high and low of Rs 961.35 and Rs 736.20, respectively.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 960.30 and Rs 933.75, respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 5,32,131.90 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.97%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.14% and 3.88%, respectively.
